This giraffe is wonderful. He's so plush ~ so soft. Now I understand why he was sold out all over the place at Christmas!

Okay, so I bought mine (read: my son's) 4 years ago. He still has it. He still loves it. Someone else mentioned fragile/music componenet. That must be different than mine, since his is just a stuffed animal. I paid $14 new in '04. I can't imagine paying this much for a stuffed animal smaller than my car.
But, if you do ... this is a wonderful, durable toy. Quality you'd expect from Gund. It is machine washable (or obviously by hand). After 4 years of daily TLC, sleeping with it, peeing on it (when much smaller), puking on it (again a while ago), washing it, you get the picture ... it's faded a bit, but otherwise perfectly good. I'm hoping it survives another 4 years or so.

I'm about to order another giraffe because the moving neck/musical component of the first one is no longer in working order. Somehow my daughter, around 9 months of age, was a little too severe with it and damaged the mechanism. It still tries to play but the movement is jerky and since the music is synced with the neck motion, it is also not right. The fur is similar to chenille but more textured and is wearing beautifully.

Our daughter had three of these when she was a baby, (her favorite animal). She lost one and kept talking about it. We found this, it arrived in beautiful condition & was just as it looked in the picture. Arrived quickly, and I would purchase from this seller again. Thank you, our daughter loves it!
