A Great Find Jan 07, 2008

This toy has some neat features that are helpful for playing. It has loops on the reigns to put the dolls hands into. And the saddle has stirrups for putting in the feet so it really helps to keep the doll on the horse while playing. It's also a nice big horse. It makes sounds (galloping & whinnying), which I didn't realize, but it ended up being okay because the volume is at a nice level and it only makes sounds if you push the button. It feels like there are some kind of supports in the legs and this is helpful in making the horse stand upright. This was a great Christmas present and my girls play with it often.

LOVE the Groovy Girl Toys! Nov 16, 2009

"NY Ranger Chic"
My daughters' (ages 4 and 6) got some Groovy Girls for a gift a few years ago. They LOVE their dolls. We have a world of Barbie dolls (mall, car, house) & Hannah Montana dolls (and tour bus) and they all come second after the Groovy Girls. They are so great for body image too! They are "girls" not barbies with boobs. There are so many accesories, they have fashion, hobbies, they are girl scouts, and now they ride horses!!
We have the black horse and the brown horse and they are fabulous. The horse has a seat belt to hold your girl on, they make galloping noises and they neigh. Their mane is long enough to "style". No trouble keeping the girls on the horses at all - even while trotting along : )
I do not see them losing interest in the Groovy Girls toys any time soon!

A bit over the top Dec 26, 2011
By L. Simmons My four-year-old wanted a stuffed pony for Christmas, and since she's also a big fan of Groovy Girls, we decided to augment her GG collection with this pony. In my opinion, it's a bit too frou-frou. Although the details are beautiful and true to the GG style and colors, the mane gets in the way of the saddle and bridle, making it hard for little girls to get the dolls situated on the pony. Additionally, the pony isn't stable on its feet, and always falls over when she's playing with it. Maybe we should have waited until our daughter was a little older and more coordinated.

big hit at bday party Aug 14, 2011
By Addie Mom I bought this as a present for a girl who likes horses. When she opened it, every little girl at the party loved it (to be fair, it was a small party). They instantly started playing with it. The party girl's mom asked me where I got it and if it looked as great in the picture as it did in person. I have no idea how durable it is, but at least the initial impact was pretty fabulous.

Midnight Star Horse Mar 30, 2011
By Betty I have to add my own thumbs up to the others. The reviews were great and I felt comfortable ordering this item. My grand-daughter loves it. She takes it everywhere and even sleeps with it. If you have a little girl who loves horses, this is a great gift.
