Goober, a warm friend May 21, 2007

I'm a 55 year old child at heart and during the time I was ill Goober sat on my bed and kept me company. I hugged him, talked to him about anything that wasn't considered sense in the human world. I needed that very much.

I was in a hobby store and sitting on the shelf in the front was Goober begging for a hug. I picked him up and knew he was going home with me. No matter what is going on in the world and in my life, one look at this bear always makes me smile. You don't have to be a stuffed animal person to really enjoy him. The way he looks just provides a presence and gives a feeling of companionship where ever he is. There's no way to go wrong with purchasing this bear, whether for a gift or for yourself. I normally don't write reviews for products, but this is one product I feel deserves to be praised.

Gund 11-Inch Goober BearI ordered this bear for my son who is 9 years old. He does not like "girlish" stuff, but this one is so cute and soft that he could not resist. Actually I ordered Goober Sr firstly for our friends' 1-year-old daughter. She is now 1 and a half. She drags Mr Goober by the ear all over the house. It is a little too heavy for her but she cannot part with it. The ear by the way is still on the place. My son loved his smaller version of Goober the bear. He sleeps with it. I gave the toy 5 stars for educational value because my son is going to take it to his school for B.E.A.R. days (do not know exactly what it means, something like Be Ready to Read :)The cutest and softest bear I ever touched!

I bought two of these for Christmas, in fact, for twin nephews of mine. They love them, and sleep with them every night! Which was the point of the purchase, theyre the perfect shape and size the cuddle and hold onto! No little parts you have to worry about popping off, and theyre great quality, so theyll be able to love on them for a number of years to come. 5 STARS!

Even though I'm a bit old for stuffed animals, I couldn't resist this one. I bought him for myself for Christmas. He makes me smile every time I look at him. I don't have a dog or cat, so this to me is the next best thing. I have him sitting in a rocking chair in my bedroom. At Christmas time he was sitting by the fireplace in the living room. He is very soft, seems to be durable too. Overall, a great gift that will bring a smile to anyone of any age!
