James, the stuffed toy Mar 01, 2008
I bought James for my son for Valentine's Day. James is one of his favorites from Thomas the Tank Engine, and he is increasingly happiest when a member of the Sodor train group comes along with him place to place.
I was hoping that James would be softer, almost like a stuffed animal or a pillow. Instead, he is rather stiff. My son still pretends to push him along the bed and hugs him all the same, but he doesn't sleep wrapped around him, because James isn't cuddly. Target sells a Thomas pillow that is much more soft and easier to cuddle. But Thomas is the only character it is available in. Sigh.
Anyway, for James lovers, they'll still appreciate hauling James to grandma's or the store or down to breakfast without any issues, but if you're looking for an appropriate bedtime toy, you might want to keep looking.
