5a good quiet toy  Nov 02, 2007
By Jane Doe "Jane"
We initially got this toy for our daughter based on the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio rating. I think it was too big for her at first, but now (she's eight months old) she loves it. She rediscovered it a month or so ago and loves picking at the antennae as well as squeezing and shaking it to get the various sounds. It's also nice because the sounds aren't obnoxious....

5a classic for good reason  May 19, 2008
By Smiley Bride
I got this toy because it contains so many opportunities for sensory learning. Each segment is a different bright color and makes a different sound (activated when you or your child squeezes or shakes it -- no dumbed down just push a button here) and it feels soft (made of velour). I got it when my daughter was 3 months old but I would say she didn't really fall in love with it until about five months. A great value.

5best infant gift , period  Dec 25, 2008
By Patrick French "Tech Junkie, Tech Architect"
The sounds this toy makes fascinates babies who are just learning to grasp and control objects. This was my kids favorite toy by far for the first several months so I buy it for every baby shower.

5Wormie Love!  Jun 26, 2011

I am 12 years old. I still have a Wormie and I love her! Her name is (guess what?) Wormie. One of her antennas has fallen off, she has a rip in her face and is mostly white. Her bell fell out and I had to sew it back in. She is very soft and cuddly and I like pressing my face against her face and playing with her antenna. Wormie has the bright colors. I also have small wormies, another medium wormie, and big wormie, who is almost as tall as me. I got a little wormie for my cousin, mostly so he would stop touching mine. He LOVES that thing! I think this is a great product, and is priced very well.

5Will last a while....  Aug 11, 2010
By E. Nordin "Evelyn"
I know the dimensions are listed, but for some reason I was surprised at how big/long the caterpillar is. Because it is not like a big stuffed animal (long and thin) it was very easy for my 4 month old to hug and hold. He can easily pull it to his mouth to bite on it. He's almost 6 months now and can focus on one area or another...it is still big for him. So I can see how for the next few months, he'll still be interested because it is big and he can do more and more with it. my 2 year old niece visited and latched onto it and began imagination play.
